Weird. I just clicked on the "America will dissolve in 2017" link on Drudge and it was referred to as a "road warrior" scenario and then the very first article I click on FR is about a Mad Max remake. Sumbody tryin' to tell sumbody summin? ...kinda

THE CLIMACTIC CHASE SCENE!

That figures. His speech patterns are teh gay.
He does seem a bit weightless to fill in for Mel Gibson. Might as well give the role to Orlando Bloom.
Still: he might - might - be able to act.

Yeah, I have a wicked tricked out Vespa myself.
Wish I had a photo of one of the local Cushman scooters.
The owner did such a nice job of putting a Sportster motor
in it that most people that don’t know bikes don’t even
notice.

The guy in the middle wearing sweats is Kjell Nilsson, The Hummungous. This pic was taken in 1984. Can't find a current one.

Yep.
A lot of great actors are gay. But having a gay Mad Max is a bit like having a gay James Bond.
Just a little nauseating.

He does seem a bit weightless to fill in for Mel Gibson. Mel was no Laurence Olivier in the first one.

Here’s an idea Hollywood, try making more original movies like Inception.
To: agere_contra
Itll be especially relevant since, when it finally comes out, well all be driving in rusted cars through blasted hellscapes.
Exactly. By the time this movie comes out, it will be a documentary.

Ping ! This is a great forum. Filled with lots of stuff for me to jot down.
But a remake ? I thought they were continuing the story ? There is a lot of room for Mad Max continuations. Maybe no car, but Eli didn’t have a hot car either, and it was a great post-apocalyptic movie !

It is what actors do after all pretend. As Ari Gold said, “Hilary Swank won an Oscar pretending she had a dick.”

After the dandy job they did with Rollerball Everyone involved with that fiasco should have been flogged.

but it's absolutely necessary and needs to be done, and revisited.
Really? Why?
How about a little originality from Hollywood, instead of this endless parade of crappy 'remakes' and 're-imaginings'?

Not Guilty!

How about a little originality from Hollywood:
1) an anti Castro movie
2) the Mao led Cultural Revolution
3) the communist funded anti war movement of the 60’s
4) 1977-1981...The unGlorious Carter Years
5) Margret Sanger and the Eugenics movement
