"Hillary must have saved a ton of money not buying shampoo over all these years."

I'll give her this much...it does look like she's changed the oil about every 3,000 miles.

I hope they are very happy. I hope their happiness drives momma and poppa Klintoon into political seclusion.

But, other than wishing a young couple at least as much success as my 20+ year marriage, I don’t care about this. They can spend their money however they want. (As long as it’s THEIR money!)

JMNSHO, naturlich!

I don’t.

I only hope their marriage lasts, and is real for them both.

(Oh - and I hope they both decide they want nothing to do with politics!)

Imagine the howls of press/pulpit outrage if former President Reagan’s children had gotten married in a $ 5 million bacchanlia with a $ 11,000 wedding cake in the middle of a recession with 17.5 percent real unemployment.

People are hypocrites, but I think plenty of folks will be glad that this sort of spending will allow them to keep their jobs. Think of all the caterers, card-printers, bakers, florists, etc. Of course, by spending I mean from private funds. If this money came from the tax-payer, then you'd have a point.

The cake is only a bit higher than the usual expensive cakes. It’s for 500 people, cost 7000 pounds, which means about 14 pounds per person, or $21. That’s the higher end if you order from celebrity cake shops like those in TLC or FoodNetwork.

Yep, I read where the Soros clan is involved in the wedding big time.

It would be a real shame if there were really bad thunderstorms right when the wedding started. With golf ball sized hail.

A real shame.

And it would be just awful if an earthquake hit the area.

A whole lot of that money came from China when Clinton sold our nuclear secrets to them.

True.

But the prosecution should be for treason, not accepting the money for political whoredom.

The wedding expenses will not cost Hill and Bill a dime. Virtually everything will be donated by political contacts and purveyors who will be betting on the come that the Billary's will move back into the White House and repay them with orders, re-orders, contracts and personal favors...all on the taxpayers' dime if and when that hideous day would come.

It's you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.....and Chelsea's trillion dollar wedding will be mostly barter of the political kind done by experienced horse-thieves....er, I mean horse-traders.

I am a cake decorator, and I do the high end type of cakes that you see on the cover of Martha Stewart and such. This is not an outrageously priced cake, considering it is for 500, and may or may not include a groom’s cake.

In fact, the price makes me think she is not getting it from a “name” designer.

You are missing my point — I don’t care if its their money or what this bunch spends it on. But they and their allies, the two-faced “press” and “social commentators” would be screaming in frothmouth rage if a conservative spent this type of money on a family wedding in the midst of mass unemployment. I remember when the Reagan White House was asked during the 1982 recession what was the President’s (in my opinion, we haven’t had a real “President” since him) and Nancy’s favorite meal; someone in the WH Correspondence Office wrote back “Coquille St. Jacques” or something similar. The press went wild with hysteria about how they could have such high tastes in such bad times and the White House had to send out a correction saying “Macaroni and Cheese”. You won’t hear a word of it with the Clintons.
