If you're really interested in protecting your garden get an electric fence. If you don't, you will eventually sustain quiet a bit a damage or total loss. It works on everything but crows.

Controlling damage to large fields from marauding wild hogs is a whole different animal.

I don't dispute that a properly installed fence (extending 12" below ground with an apron to prevent burrowers from getting under it) will protect a garden.

But that still doesn't solve the problem. It just pushes it onto your neighbors property. Controlling damage to large fields from marauding wild hogs is a whole different animal.

Nope. same issue. same solution. Kill all the hogs and the problem goes away.

(Same solution as the illegal invaders problem actually)
