Consider a solar powered fence charger. It's much cheaper and and more humane and you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to make your rounds.
After you harvest all you want/need, turn it off and let the animals have the rest. You may need them for a protein source someday.
Of course you may be like me and just need an excuse to buy one... ;)
The problem with this is that it doesn't permanently solve the problem. It just moves it to the neighbors property.
I already have a fencer, but thanks for the input.
