How does one become a “BYU home teacher”? Isn’t a “home teacher” by definition NOT a faculty member of BYU?

How does one become a “BYU home teacher”? Isn’t a “home teacher” by definition NOT a faculty member of BYU?All positions in the Mormon church are via a so-called "calling." Harry Reid is an Lds "home teacher" in the D.C. area. (Isn't it "great" to know that the Mormon god has "called" Harry Reid to such a "calling" through his "prophet" and those administering the "ONLY true church" on the face of the earth?)
