All that is left for me to do is to wish her well and to hope that she has made the right choice; that she continues to find in him what she did not find in me.
I'd be banned if I said it.
BTW - "navalgazing" as a keyword - LOL

Seems no matter how hard she tried, she couldn’t turn him into a real man.

First line of ancient but moving toast:
“To health, wealth, and love!”
Second line of that toast:
“And, may you have the time to enjoy them.”
The above toast has been around for a very long time. The article is very much in the spirit of that toast.
Give him credit for an interesting article, albeit arguably a bit on the personal side for general publication.
PS I don’t drink. Seems half a beer and I can feel the effects and I don’t like them. But I did like the article.

Having gone through a painful divorce, two years alone now, I have stated, “Never again!”. I have neither dated nor desired to date. I am free to be dad to my kids (son to her, and a daughter to another some years earlier) and grandpap to my grandson. I hunt, fish camp and attend weekend long outdoor rock festivals and I am TOTALLY free!
Now, how to arrange financing for my 2010 HD Road king, hehehe

What a self-serving column. He continues to profess his love in such a grandiose way that he's just screaming for her continuing attention and her recognition of what a great guy he is.
This isn't releasing her of a burden, as he claims. This is a lame attempt to saddle her with doubt about her decision by showing her that he loves her soooooo much he wishes her well even as he's left pitifully behind.
All good thoughts, if kept to himself. Publishing them like this...LAME.

and she took the dog and pickup truck, tooIt's worse than that. His huntin' rifle and fishin' rod were in the back and she was towing the boat.
