No....it consists of a 49 year old mechanic/old field hand, 50 year old former navy welder, 47 year old oil field worker, 24 year old hard core young guy and a 44 year old owner that spent his entire life from 17 doing this type of work for other people. I was LUCKY they gave me a chance to work, they really didn't have a choice because all your living at home, whiny generation sisters couldn't handle coming to work at 5 AM and leaving at 7 PM, even with time and half at 40 hours......

Done that for years, for far less pay, and harder conditions than rig work. I think your employer needs to figure out why he can’t hire any young folks who can do the job. It’s obviously not that hard if a 50 year old can do it. Treeplanting, I don’t recall anyone older than 32 doing that job. Sure there were some young folks who quit, but for the most part, everyone stayed on.
I also know plenty of rig pigs among my friends. So I’m rather puzzled that your firm can’t seem to find these folks out there. Perhaps they don’t pay as much as others?
