Mojo reports the box office as $72 million for the U.S. and $89 million international. Not a blockbuster by any stretch but not a financial disaster either.

Still not in the black. Production budget plus half that figure equals break even point at the box office. Anything over that and you’re finally into profit.

“Knight and Day” will eventually see a small profit (it’ll be in a few years and will come from cable, PPV, DVD, downloads, etc.) But no one is going to make “Knight and Day II.”

People really seem to have it in for this movie. I don’t get it. It was harmless watchable fluff. Tom Cruise is funny and should do more comedic stuff.
