Shepherd Smith just led the 7:00 news hour with a story on the Shirley Sherrod case.
He stated that the original video of her speech to the NAACP (which was released by Andrew Breitbart) was EDITED to present her out of context.
Smith played the portion of the clip that included Sherrod stating that she did not give the white farmer all the help she could have.
Smith then stated that the full clip shows that this was taken out of context and then played the part of the clip in which Shirley said it was revealed to her it was not so much a black vs white thing as a haves vs have-nots thing.
But that part Smith was claiming puts her in context WAS INDEED IN THE EXCERPT THAT BREITBART RELEASED!
Both the part Smith claimed took her out of context AND the part of the video Smith claimed put it INTO context were part of the original excerpt released by Breitbart!

Is it? Maybe he doesn't have strong political principles one way or the other. Maybe he's not that bright and goes on impulse. Maybe his views have something to do with an alternative lifestyle. What makes Shep tick, may not be so simple, or if it can be summed up in one word, you may not have the right one.
How about Katie Couric’s report tonight? According to Couric, the Sherrod story was pushed by Fox because it fed into the network’s bias that Obama and his administration hate whites. The purveyor of this “lie” about Obama was identified as none other than Fox’s Glenn Beck. Katie showed a clip of Beck discussing what he perceived to be evidence of Obama’s prejudice toward whites.
Of course not mentioned in Katie’s report are Obama’s years of attendance at a racist “church,” his assertion that his grandmother was a typical white racist, his labeling the cop as “stupid” when he arrested the black professor, etc., etc. Nor was it mentioned that Obama has filled his administration with radical black racists like Van Jones who want to impoverish whites to get even with their years of oppressing minority groups.
Excuse me, but did Obama ever apologize to the white cop who was labeled as racist? I don’t think so.
I noticed this as well. I saw this crap that they said was edited out when it was released yesterday. I’ve been hollering at Shep until I finally changed the channel this afternoon.
It was reported. Back when it happened. (the class action suit award). It aroused concern at the time because it seemed like just a sneaky way to get some reparation payments.
What wasn't reported was that SHERROD and HUBBY got a much larger percentage (cause they waz runnin' the plantation) than the other farmers.

All this started when the NAACP unfairly branded the TEA Party as racist. We’re tired of that warn out hateful crap. Debate the issues straigh-up or shut-up NAACP!
Look, it’s pretty clear that USDA lady should not have been fired but, I’ve seen countless folks on the right side of the isle actually get fired and stay fired over less offensive stuff. The left has been playing with this fire for years and they finally got some much deserved blowback. You reap what you sow...as they say.

The original story released by the reporter/media had selected tidbits from her speech. IF one listened to her entire speech you would have gotten the real message.
I think alot of people learned a lesson with this.
Don’t be so quick to convict until you know the whole story and see the whole clip. The media is very bad at selective editing and then releasing that to the public.
Schlep Smith is a DOLT! Fox needs to send him to CNN.

He is also doing everything he can to keep that other POS Blago from getting a fair trial. Even a POS has the right to a fair trial, is under no compulsion to testify and the burden of proof is always on the government.

HE TRIED TO TELL EVERYONE there was more, and that she explained how she changed.
NO ONE LISTENED.
HE put the SHORT video on his website because that's what people want.

HOW MANY would sit and listen to a 43 minute video upon first hearing of a political 'incident'?????????
I can tell you. The same amount that listened to the full video yesterday when this first started. And that was DAMN FEW PEOPLE.
Ask SHEP SMITH if he will give up his 'face time' to do things like air the ENTIRE 43 minutes of some speech at a meeting.
HECK, on TV NETWORK NEWS, if you get more than 30 SECONDS of ANY VIDEO ABOUT ANYTHING, you are damn lucky.

Go to the 1:45 mark. THERE you will find what Smith is claiming is the exculpatory part that puts it “in context” — that she had a revelation that it was really about the poor vs the haves, and not so much black and white.
It was there in the original excerpt.
You could always mount him on sticks in the garden to keep the crows away.
