Forget my screwing with the above poster, but isn't your statement what all good men live for? Whether it be for family, country, or liberty? Personally, since I have no family, it's all about liberty to me.
Of course, that's what all good people (since I'm a girl, I'm changing your words to include me) strive for. Well, most normal people anyway. Prior to the last year or so, my goal was to do a good job at work, treat my family and friends well, try not to screw up too bad and not leave a mess for my family to clean up when I die.
Now, I think things are coming to a head. Our country and our liberty are teetering on the brink of oblivion. If my fighting helps us get back to where we should be, then my life will not have been in vain or for some shallow purpose. And honestly, I think it's going to take ugly, horrible fighting to take our country back. We're past doing things without some degree of violence. If I have to take up arms (Good Lord, I never thought I'd ever say such words), then so be it. I can shoot (kind of - need more practice) and my country is worth fighting for.
The question is to me, is my resolve to turn the tide stronger than the Left's desire to destroy us? Mine is. And I don't think I'm alone.
