A barn in Hood County, Texas, has become ground zero in the hunt for the chupacabra.
Earlier this week, animal control officer Frank Hackett shot and killed what was unquestionably one of the ugliest creatures to ever walk the planet.

Cresson is 15 miles from Granbury and even further from Cleburne. The people that moved out there don't have the foresight or will to shoot their own strays & ferals. And there is nothing to stop them from exercising that will.

Albeit ugly, it looks like it might just be a feral hairless dog. It is Texas after all and there are large hairless dogs in Mexico.
When my dogs were alive I used to warn them about Chupacabra and they wouldn’t stay out long at night. Then when I told them it may just be other dogs they started looking at each other.
If I’m not mistaken, that’s a photo of one of the winners of the annual “Ugliest Dog in the World” contest. That dog and most of the others who have or hold the crown are Chinese Cresteds... a breed which maybe shouldn’t be bred.
