BERLIN — A German court on Tuesday threw out the case of a schoolteacher against a pupil who had allegedly been tormenting her by scrawling pictures of rabbits on the blackboard.
The court in Vechta, northern Germany declined to hear the complaint of the teacher, who was seeking an injunction against the 16-year-old girl to stop her from making the drawings or claiming the plaintiff had a paralysing fear of rabbits.
"The plaintiff now has a month to appeal the verdict," the court's chief judge Mechthild Beckermann said, declining to elaborate.
Witnesses had told the judge that the teacher ran sobbing out of the classroom when she saw the image of a rabbit on the blackboard.

Maybe she does get help. We don’t know. It’s not right to play on someone’s disability, no matter what it is.
Rabbits is a little unusual, but if it was fear of spiders, snakes, or Pelosi, it’s pretty mean to put pictures in the way of the person with the phobia.
I’d confront that.

Um, I wasn't playing on anything. I was merely suggesting she should get help instead of taking some school kid to court for drawing pictures.

Angst. A great German word. Right up there with schadenfreude.
I think if rabbits freak her out to that degree she shouldn’t be in charge of a classroom full of children.
