I suppose there was no "fire hazard" when the people of Philadelphia filled the sky with fireworks upon learning that the Continental Army had defeated the British at the Battle of Yorktown.

Things are a little different in Philly than place like Arizona. We had our first rain in 4 months yesterday in Tucson, not good having people who don’t no better shooting off fireworks. Heck the pros we hire for the city display manage to light the mountain on fire every Independence Day, luckily the FD is used to it and keeps truck near by.

I am with you on this one. I was actually thinking how ironic it is to be threatened with imprisonment for celebrating Independence Day!
