About 50 years ago, while I was in grammar school, the local area CHP pulled off the highway, and parked way out in the brush; and so did the wife of a local Forest Service ranger. The hood of the CHP car was clean; and the brush shielded them from prying eyes...except from the lookout tower on top of a nearby mountain.
The person manning the lookout saw the CHP car pull into & park in the odd spot, got curious, and then also recognized her car.
There was no mistaking what happened next, on the hood of the patrol car.
The lookout radioed the hubby, and the rest, as they say, is history.
