I really don’t know why people care about the personal lives of Hollywood stars.
I like Mel’s movies. I will always like Mel’s movies no matter how many crazy rants get published. Who cares!?
Is Mad Max good? Yup. Braveheart? Yup. The Patriot? Yup. etc, etc
Springseen is similar. He’s a leftist lunatic. But I like his music and will no matter what he spews about politics and Republicans in general.
There’s no reason Mel can’t continue to produce great pics. The Passion of the Christ and Apocalypto (highly underated IMHO) for example. He doesn’t need to act.
I agree. I can separate. We all do to an extent with singers and actors we like. We don’t KNOW most of their personal darksides, and we don’t want to. If you had to love everything about someone before you enjoyed their work we’d have no music, films, plays- or even inventions.
Can Gibson still work in his chosen field? Possibly- if he can control himself.
Will be be ALLOWED to continue? Ahhhh... that is where the power of PC comes in! If his industry turns against him he’ll have to do independent things. And if he ends up paying mega $$ out to child support, alimony and damages -with no new income-he could very well end up ranching in Australia, screaming at kangaroos.
Agree wholeheartedly. Things yelled in secret/behind marriage doors shouldn’t be aired for the world to see. Yes, what he said is vile but I’d wager 95% of the people here have said similar repulsive things are some point in their lives.
