Hard to believe it's only 50 years. That means I would have been 13 years old at the time. It wasn't like Etch-a-sketch was my favorite toy or that I even owned one, but I do remember the thing. And I doubt that I would have even tried messing with the thing when I was a teen.

Hard to believe it's only 50 years.I'm almost 67 and played with its predecessor, where you had the sheet against a black slate, drew on it, then lifted the sheet to remove the drawing. I recall first seeing Etch-a-sketch, but was too old to care. Some of my younger relatives had them, though.
