Serious question...does a rabbit scream? Yeah, they do. I think the psyops guys in the US military use recordings of rabbit screams to keep hostiles awake and unnerved. I think they were used at Waco, too.

That scream is what turned me off from raising them for food. When I was in in the 8th grade I brought my first rabbit home that a teacher gave me. My Dad went out and got a doe for it, and 2 litters later I gave up the whole hobby and gave the original pair of rabbits away.

People have mistaken a rabbit screaming for a human child screaming for help. It isn’t a nice sound.

Serious question...does a rabbit scream? Yes they do.
Many years ago while hunting I rounded my 410 shotgun on a cottontail and fired. The shot charge was a bit high and I took off its' ears and skull but did not kill it.
The screaming was pretty horrid as I went up to it and put it out of its' misery with a 22LR shot to the brain.

"Serious question...does a rabbit scream?
They do and they also have a like sound that sounds like a dog bark.
My daughter had a pet rabbit named Charmin who used to follow her around the yard like a little dog & play hide & seek with her. When he found where she was hiding - he would do that little bark,
If they are raised from babies & have a lot of interaction with humans - they are very tame & very smart.

They certainly do when a fox nabs them.
I had never heard a rabbit make a noise until I saw that.

Boy do they ever. I have a long story about a screaming rabbit if you ever have time to hear it.

Yep, when they are injured or in danger they scream quite loudly. In fact Coyote calls are made that imitate a rabbits screams. Coyotes will come into the call and get themselves shot.
