The bilderbergers were formed about 1954 by a Rockefeller and a former alleged Nazi sympathizer - can't think of the name off hand. He was part of a royal family maybe from Austria. It was named for the original hotel meeting site.
The first time I heard of them was in the book, “A Choice - not an echo,” written by Phyllis Schlafly about 1964. Of course, she was ridiculed, and called loony. Well who is loony now? She also noted their behind scenes king maker efforts.
Ever wonder how some unknown politician becomes a sensation overnight? BG’s have an eye for talent, invite that person to their meeting, and if suitably impressed, the sky's the limit so to speak, especially if private conversations lead to some sort of understanding or meeting of minds.
I have followed the Internet reports on this group since the Clinton years. Yes, he did attend a meeting shortly before running for POTUS. Kissinger has been a long time fairly consistent attendee. Just google attendee's list for Bilderberger conference.
Many of the things the group reputedly talked about appear a short while later in mainstream publications such as the NY Times, and have come into being. The European Union and Euro dollar comes to mind.
Republicans and Democrats attend. The BG’s once stated that their purpose is just to ensure good relations and ties between the Western Democracies - especially important to defeat communism.
Perhaps this is true, and perhaps this is just a little seminar for the rich, royal, and well-connected. But why the secrecy, and how come no real coverage? I just report. You decide.
Note I have used the abbreviation BG’s for Bilderberger’s - not to be confused with the band. LOL.
