The duo sat through part of the show, and then disappeared, sneaking up to room 337 where Mauro usually taught French, according to the documents obtained by The News under the Freedom of Information Law.
Their apparent tryst in the darkened room was abruptly interrupted about 8:50 p.m. by two handymen who opened the door and made a startling discovery - “a woman lying on the floor naked from the waist up.”
“Oh, s-—!” one of the teachers yelled out.
A school safety agent was summoned and arrived in time to catch the pair “naked” - one “on her knees” and one “lying on the floor,” the documents show.
“One female had on pants with no shirt; she was putting on a white bra with one breast still hanging out,” Waite reports.
The lovebirds were lucky that they were discovered by school personnel and not students who were on the third floor at the time, the superintendent notes.
An assistant principal was called in to identify the pair, arriving in time to catch Brito still “buttoning her shirt” and “putting on her shoe.”
Mauro and Brito were also called out by the superintendent for drunkenness because they had slurred speech, red eyes and stumbled around, witnesses said.
Mauro and Brito were cited for “inappropriate sexual behavior in Room 337” and drinking an “undetermined amount,” and they were charged with misconduct.
“As a teacher, you are expected to be an exemplary role model for other staff members and for students,” wrote Waite in her letter. “Your lack of judgment constitutes conduct unbecoming of an educator and warrants termination.”
Their attorney, Mark Nussbaum, pointed out yesterday that the documents contain allegations that the teachers haven’t had the opportunity to contest yet. They have filed requests for formal hearings, he said.

The only explanation I can think of is that them Noo Yuck wimmin look around at the available metrosexual nancy boys and end up figuring they’re better off with each other.
Geez, maybe somebody said “Get a room” and these two thought ‘Yeah, 337 looks good!”
What’s with all of the details in this story?

I find it amazing how quickly all these other people showed up after the alarm went out.
I think the biggest mistake here was made by the principal. As soon as he found out, he should have clamped down on the story, taken all those involved into his office, and advised them strongly to STFU about it.
Officially, the story should have been sanitized and deconstructed, so the details would be fuzzy. The teachers would be ordered to come up with a less lurid explanation, and to stick to it.
To get the teachers out of the fray, they would be given mandatory alcohol treatment for a couple of quiet weeks, with the strong suggestion that alcohol was the problem.
Then suggest that they retired to the classroom because one was feeling ill during the show, and needed to lie down after “loosening her clothing.” They figured that a classroom was discreet enough for this.
Request that several of the other teachers interrupt their schedule of instruction to give a class on “The dangers of alcohol.”
All told, instead of a steamy romance, this could be played as a case of overindulgence. Far less interesting. That’s the point.
