How you feel that counting ‘white faces’ on a television broadcast (at best an exercise in subjective bean counting) allows you to make some sort of generalization about the inclusiveness of our society, or the nature of the crowd, eludes me. Are you aware cameras are set up to get the best shots of any given event and not for a shallow survey the visually apparent racial makeup of those who attend?
At the very least, you should be reminded that Martin Luther King hoped his children would “…not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character”, and counting ‘white’ (or any color) noses in a crowd is in conflict with his very fine ideal.
Liberals hate Math, even the very simple one. There is a reason why the vast majority of liberal has some type of arts and humanities degrees.

Liberals are SOOO obsessed with race. I’m a “person of color” (I hate that term!), and when I see people enjoying a 4th of July celebration, I see my fellow Americans. I don’t sit there and count how many non-white faces I see. It doesn’t even cross my mind to check.

Public education has brainwashed blacks into believing that they are victims of this country not celebrants. It’s hardly surprising that they don’t show up to July 4th celebrations.

Knowing Newton as well as I do my guess is that she's not living among many "people of color" and that she's not living the simple life you'd expect a "progressive" like her to lead.
