LOUISIANA, Mo. (AP) -- Police are searching for a man suspected of taking a 4-year-old Missouri girl from her front yard in a small, quiet Mississippi River town.
Alisa Maier and her 5-year-old brother were playing in the yard of their Louisiana, Mo., home about 8 p.m. Monday night. The boy told police a man he didn't know pulled up in a four-door car and ordered his sister to get in....

I feel the anguish in your comment, cricket....and share it. Even if this little girl is returned alive, her life will forever be changed in an instant. I hate this.
They said the description of the guy is in his late teens or early 20s..there are sex offenders listed in the area but this guy might not have been caught yet or might have come from outside the area. I know in my area I have sometimes seen cars circling the area, like I will see the same one again and again then not come back..they should take these pervs and cut their balls off..that is the only way to stop them from doing this
Prayers for this little angel and her family. Just cannot begin to imagine the absolute anguish they are feeling. God, we need harsher judgement on these twisted creatures..they cannot be human to do what they do...

TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL
Why didn't one of the neighbors head for that car and ask him what the hell he was doing circling the area? Or at least call the cops to report suspicious activity. Come on people you have to be proactive! Had someone done that this girl might have never been taken.
That pervert should be drawn and quartered, executed.
This is NOT the fault of the parents - it’s the fault of a system that lets pedophiles prey on children. A second offense with a child under 11 should be mandatory death sentence... that will stop the problem.
Prayers for this precious little one, for her family, for LE, and for all those searching for her. Please, Lord.

Circling the neighborhood for hours, and not one person noted the make, model, and license plate number of the car, or looked closely enough at this stranger driving it, so that they could give a good description of him? No pictures taken with cell phone cameras - nothing?
That must be because there were different people who happened to see the car only once and all at different times. I can’t imagine that someone, who repeatedly noticed the car circling, wouldn’t have taken note for later reference if needed.
How tragic. Everything in me grieves for this little girl’s situation, and the horror this family is suffering. I’m praying.
Louisiana, a town of about 4,000 residents 80 miles north of St. Louis, has a Mississippi River bridge, prompting some concern the suspect might have taken the girl to Illinois. The family’s home is a short distance from Route 79, a highway along the river that runs from Hannibal to near St. Louis.
Alisa is 3 feet tall, weighs 40 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

Our prayer group of 24 prays around the clock once a week for one special request. Saw this on FR this evening and called them all up and said we needed to pray for two people tonight and added this little child. The saddest thing of all is that this is what our country has come to. When my kids were growing up they went out the door after school to play with all the neighborhood kids and knew they had to be home when the front porch light came on at dusk. Never worried about them and didn’t check on them. Too bad children no longer have this freedom.
I’m trying to figure out why neighbors noticed a strange car circling the neighborhood for HOURS just before the abduction..... and never got suspicious.

While you are correct - a 4 or 5 year old should not be left without supervision, now isn’t the time to assault the parents who I would imagine now truly regret not keeping a much closer watch (at least I pray this is the case). Lets not take responsibility away from where belongs - on the creep who decided it was a-ok to abduct a child. Period.
Those of us who are not near enough to lend a physical hand can still lend a big help by praying fervently.

Thank goodness. He won’t go where they can’t follow.
May God bless and guide them.
