OK sorry it’s a rather non-earthshaking post. Which is why I used chat.

My point was, that it’s another example of media bias. This one, I allege is probably deliberate.

Somewhere in the editorial decision making process at CBS, I think some liberal consciously replaced the most likely description of that size a tar ball - which would seem to this poster to be the size of golf balls.

With one which does not allude to the game of golf.

Which, coincidentally, Obama was out doing again this weekend, while those tar balls were arriving at Galveston.

Granted, not exactly breaking news. :)

Still.

Media bias??? Maybe the person that wrote it, just wanted to use a different term, or doesn’t like golf, or is a ping-pong player?

It doesn’t matter what size the tar balls are—they have been showing up on the beaches at Galveston since time began, I should think. There are deposits of oil under the surface along the Gulf Coast. Sometimes, some of that oil bubbles up to the surface and land on the beach.

It’s as common as sand down there. No biggie!
