Kyron Horman's Stepmother Allegedly Tried to Hire Hit Man, Report Says

One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.

After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return.The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4

The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

I refuse to tune it in.

I cannot believe the way that Kyron’s disappearance has been treated -— by any & ALL adults that have ANYTHING to do with either his actual disappearance or with the aftermath of his disappearance, where one would EXPECT parents & adults & miscellaneous LEOs to WANT the public to help find the poor child.

I wonder exactly what the press agreed to when KAINE imposed “ground rules” on all agreeable “team players.”

Unbelievable, too, that there is NO outrage, NO demonstration, NO nothing.

Has anyone yet said IF Kyron was supposed to go see a neurologist? Has anyone mentioned WHO was Kyron's doctor, and what the specialty was? Chatters at online boards kept yakking about ADD, ADHD, etc/etc. I sure hope that TMH wasn't trying to treat her stepson's TLE (temporal lobe epilepsy) with some herbs or weird OTC concoctions, or even worse with veterinary meds available at many rural stores. So help me, were any child under my care to EVER exhibit what looked like an Absence Seizure, s/he'd be seeing a neurologist as soon as a hospital opened. UNBELIEVABLE.

One thing I’ve learned is that the STUDENT talent show was for STUDENTS, it was not a talent show for parents — and thus no parents came to the talent show.

Ok, I didn't know. The rumor mill said the talent show times was on the school's outside sign and the talking head questioned why she didn't go.

At this point, seriously, VERY seriously, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn ANYTHING, virtually anything about ANY of Kyron’s parents.

When it all comes out, it'll be another truth is stranger than fiction with this crowd.

Do you realize that it has been months since Kyron went missing, and it is only this morning that I learn that Kyron may have been exhibiting clear symptoms of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy ----- and NOONE ever mentioned, ANYWHERE, that there may be a confused appearing little boy out there, out here, having absence seizures?

Yep. Not one word from any of them. IF he was having problems, LE and the family should have immediately put that out to the public just in case he had wandered off on his own. That makes the teacher's unconcern over him being in the restroom even more disconcerting.

You're right, it's WEDNESDAY, not today. Guess what I learned at SM for the three minutes I could bear to read the drivel? That people want to know if TMH had breast implants, "even though it doesn't matter." Yep, breast implants. As though it's any of their business! Seriously, though, I wonder if her recent weight gain was due to weaning Baby-K several months ago; most mothers have great difficulty keeping off the weight after the baby is weaned, because while breast feeding one can eat 1000s of more calories, and then suddenly one can not. But anyway, I can't imagine anyone remotely caring about something which is soooooo not their business, and it's particularly disgusting when a 7 year old boy is MISSING.

Exactly. I still say LE didn't have a thing so had to go on a fishing expedition and throw any and everything they could at the GJ. Any other case, the suspect would be declared, arrested, and read his/her rights long before a GJ. MCSO just got REALLY lucky with the testimonies but they're still wandering around like lost geese with these willy nilly searches. With so many monitoring the LE radio dispatch, hopefully, LE has already set up a code word if something bad is found. One hint and half of Oregon will be there gawking. I wonder what suddenly caused the news station to come out with the emails after all this time. Apparently, Terri emailed them the very next day (uh, hellooo, at least pretend to look for Kyron!) but kept them quiet. Last night, I believe on HLN, but I'm unsure which show, there was someone who clearly stated that in the state of Oregon exist INVESTIGATIVE grand juries who actually are set up with investigation and fact gathering in mind -- as opposed to issuing indictments.

I find it really horrifying that MAYBE the only person(s) who saw another individual in TMH's white truck never told anyone about this until they were sworn to testify before the grand jury??????

But it seems the way it's being presented on the boards is that suddenly LE wants to find out about this individual.

Maybe it's a child's testimony, and no adult ever thought to take time to listen before the GJ did???

This is all beginning to feel like a nasty Kafkaesque Stephen King horror novel with some really sadistic existential twists thrown in.

Have you noticed, how... ever since Day 1 ------ people who have never met TMH, will never meet TMH, have been so fully assured to call her a psychopath, a sociopath, a compulsive liar, a druggie, a steroid abuser, etc/etc/etc

My bad again. Per the picture at the link, the school’s sign stated the talent show was 1:00-2:45.

If it was restricted to students only it wouldn’t be advertised so I’m thinking the public was invited. It’s late enough in the day so parents could watch it, wait a few minutes until the kids get finished up, and then take them home afterward.

Just going back a bit to get things straight:

1) James changed his name to Moulton in January. January was also the MFH and when Terri was complaining to gym patrons that Kaine was making James leave. What happened in the weeks and months before January? A minor can’t just up and change his name so Terri AND bio dad and/or adoptive dad would have to sign legal work. Who’s idea was the name change? Terri’s or James’? Was Terri planning something this far in advance and roping James in to her side? Was the head butting with Kaine causing James to side with his mom and Kaine got pissy about it? Kaine claims James said if something bad happened he wanted to stay with him - whatever, Kaine keeps making like he’s clueless and the “good” parent but at this point, I don’t believe any of them. Then Desiree claims Kyron cried about having to go back to the Harmons but we all know kids will cry a the mere idea of leaving one place and going to another so this may or may not be true, or may or may not be of significance. But SOMETHING BIG was going on prior to January.

2) Adoptive dad Tarver and Terri’s parents all live 200 miles away in Roseburg. I don’t feel it’s important to know exactly which household James was in on which date when they possibly live within 15 minutes of each other. Any controversy over James going camping that weekend or not is also inconsequential. He could have gone camping and gone to Terri’s afterward for the planned week visit.

3) Terri hollering at him about telling his dad about her polygraphs is also much ado about nothing.

4) Tarver knows something because he’s like “I dunno”, IF that’s not taken out of context by the reporter.

Blah, I was working on a point here other than pre-January but life interfered for a while and now I’ve forgotten.

Yes, look on WS for a thread called "THE KYRON FILES" --- that was a long editorial with info about all the "players" and scroll down to KAINE HORMAN. Neighbors report hearing gunfire very frequently, which lasts for HOURS at a time.
