One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.

After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return. The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4

The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

I think those are immediate neighbors and somewhat indicative of the local culture in the area.

I loved this one...

Disturbing message along with possible vandalism at Wall of Hope for missing boy

"According to Multnomah County deputies, someone apparently tried to rip down a handmade laminated banner from a Kindercare Center with the message “Helping Hands for Kyron.”

Although a man known to have mental health issues was found in the area, he was questioned by authorities and denied vandalizing the fence. He indicated, however, that he wanted to search for Kyron himself."

Geeze, Alice looks normal now in Wonderland.

Ok I saw this bumper sticker the other day that made me laugh.

It had OBAMA in big letters but smaller letters after each large one so that it said "One Big Ass Mistake America".

hey humor break...

Whomever here said that Terri might have paid Houze with pot profits might on to something. Kaine's attorney may want to rethink going after that $350k. Add in all the landscapers, gardeners, Desiree's non-FDA approved meds, and maybe Terri's "fat burners" and we've got what appears to be Oregon's own little drug cartel. And an innocent little boy is in the middle of it.

“Can we have the list of law enforcement agencies that have assisted in the Kyron Horman investigation?

Gresham Police, Fairview Police, Troutdale Police, Portland Police, Port of Portland Police, Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, Clackamas County DA MCT, Multnomah County DA’s investigators, Washington County District Attorney’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Gladstone Police, Oregon City Police, Milwaukie Police, Canby Police, Lake Oswego Police, West Linn Police, Vancouver Police, Hillsboro Police, Beaverton Police, FBI, DEA, ICE, Secret Service, DOD Defense Criminal Investigative Services, Oregon DOJ, Oregon State Police.

This list does not include search and rescue resources.”

Are we seriously supposed to believe the Defense Dept. and the Secret Service worked on this case?!?

There's a webpage at the Secret Service which mentions that they are the Numero Uno in cell phone pings & GPS.

I forget what part the DOD played, but it was something similarly logical & explainable.

I read somewhere that Terri had an ANDROID smart phone, equipped with the latest in GPS technology -— so this may not be a case of unreliable cell pings.

Well, who’da thunk. I figured the Secret Service was too busy globe trotting with the Obama entourage.

As for the pings, I’m still on the fence. Like I said before, it depends on a lot of variables. If Secret Service positively 100% without a doubt caught her red handed on Sauvie Island, she should have been behind bars for the past 6 weeks.

I have been thinking for some time that there is a lot of similarity in the lifestyles of Desiree and Terri.

Terri’s friend from birthday party and gym, Chelsea Aleshire testified at GJ. Also, a woman says she came into her business. Wonder if she has a sales receipt or video?

“Afterward, she described herself as having a very limited role on June 4 the day Kyron disappeared.

“I can tell you that I know nothing and that you guys are going down a dead end. She was my friend, and I talked to her that day as a friend and that’s all,” she said...

Among others who testified about Terri Horman were two friends who attended birthday parties and other Horman social functions.

Also, one woman said that Terri had at some point come into her place of business.”

“The friend, who is not DeDe Spicher, went to the Lloyd Center and bought a prepaid cell phone at an electronic store. The friend now says she regrets using a fake name and that it was “stupid” and “spur of the moment”...

She insists the three of them, DeDe, Terri and her, only got the phones because they needed AT&T service which allowed them to make calls out of the Horman home at Shelter Nook Road, which is in a remote area and doesn’t service Verizon phones which is what they had...

But what remaines unclear is why two additional prepaid phones were purchased at another store in downtown Portland the next day under the same fake name used at the Lloyd Center. The friend said she knows those phones were paid for in cash but she did not make the purchase...”

http://www.katu.com/news/local/100161574.html

That makes no sense. You do not have to give a name for a prepaid phone. That part of the advantage of a prepaid phone.

on scared monkeys forum in the forum for Kyron they are analyzing the note that was left at the wall.

In the note Kyron was apparently called "Special K" and they traced it to a facebook posting by a man in Portland who, it seems, made up the nickname for him.

The note itself is kind of odd.

Rumor mill is thinking the phones were purchased at Radio Shack. Blah, one reason I avoid Radio Shack is they ask for your name and address at every purchase. It’s none of the their bleepin’ business. Ok, so nothing wrong with giving a fake name to Radio Shack. The phones, well, dunno. Terri might want one to avoid her calls from being on the family’s statement what with the divorce and all. The other phones, noooo. These gals either haven’t matured since junior high school or they’re into something morally questionable or legally wrong. It’s anyone’s guess if this is merely part of the never ending soap opera or if it can be linked to Kyron who should be the main focus of the investigation.

Skyline Elementary School has 8 outside doors and no video surveillance. Anyone know which was Kyron's classroom?

I wonder why they were intensively *RE* searching the Skyline School area again yesterday, and I’ve seen mentioned that there are rumors that Sauvie Island will receive the same intensive *RE* searching today.

Seriously, I find it very difficult to believe that a bunch of gardening yuppie foodies all got together to cover up a homicide, I can’t believe it -— ya know? I mean..... how many sociopaths do the LEOs really believe exist among TMH’s friends???

VERY confused.

And I’m starting to find the Internet sleuthing of private citizens to be distinctly distasteful — this phenomenon was really distasteful in the Natalee Holloway case, too, all the gossip and nasty innuendos about Mountain Brook, AL and its denizens.

I’m not following this anymore, I simply do one search at Google News per day, and might check the thread titles at WS.

There’s something downright nasty and utterly repugnant about the online commentary, ya know????

Exactly. I couldn't wrap my mind around one friend being called on the spur of the moment and jumping right in - much less so many.

It is disgusting. Discussing the facts is one thing but the never ending personal gossip isn't called for.

About the *RE* searching, I'm wondering if they are now using cadaver dogs, sigh...
