One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.
After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return. The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4
The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

Thanks!
Thanks.
Wierd is right.
This is the first I have heard about the mentor detective you mentioned.
I get a feeling all the other adult players in this game “soap opera” material.
And the ex-cop Jensen to go on tv news and say yeppers any day now Terri is going to be arrested and spend along time in jail.
Who is he? Just an opinion.
This Kaine charactor from the little bit I have observed seems like a “controller” not a protertor.
No one even knows if her attorney was paid a dime yet. It might also be nothing more than his attorney making noise. Noise to get his/her 15 minutes in this circus or she/he is a bottom feeder. All the attorney had to do was to make a request for that information attorney to attorney rather than “leaking” it to the public.
Apparently, Terri has nothing in her name which is why Kaine is all up in arms as to where she might have gotten anything to pay an attorney. In this day and age, that’s just stupid. Either she’s that dumb or he’s that controlling.
Not particularly. They have kiosks in the mall, but they’re not a huge prescence or anything.
That's kinda funny.
Welcome. Glad you found us.

Kaine’s only says he works with semiconductors.
Wonder who their “connections” may be.
PORTLAND, Ore. (CBS/KOIN) Detectives say there is probable cause to arrest Kyron Horman’s stepmother for the murder-for-hire plot of her husband, Kaine Horman, and possibly for the 7-year-old’s disappearance, according to a former sheriff’s official.
“The detectives are telling them they have probable cause to arrest Terri Horman right now at least for murder for hire and possibly for the disappearance,” Bruce McCain, former captain of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s office, told CBS affiliate KOIN.

Frankly, Tony Young MAY be the one utterly 'normal' adult in this child's life; as you and so many others have mentioned, Kaine appears to be a control freak --- however, I don't consider him a control freak, I think he simply knows that there are REAMS of tabloid tidbits from his private life that were they made known would make it very difficult in his career life.
THAT, plus asperger's type personality symptoms.
I suspect that Kyron Horman takes after his MOM, and that's why Tony adores him and they get along fabulously - he's just like his mom who is Tony's wife.
As Kyron got older & older and became his own person, I'm sure that Terri noticed that he was very similar to Desiree, not merely in looks but in personality.
Where Kaine/Terry strike me as possible autists who met up and married and notice little around them, due to high IQs, proclivities to OCD-authoriantarianism and self-absorbed narcissism....... going to Desiree & Tony's house, IN COMPARISON, must have resembled going to heaven.
I'm NOT inferring the they are perfect, LOL --- but Kyron is of the age where he was smart enough to start noticing that Kaine & Terri were a couple of oddballs; and as that one police profiler, (or whomever) stated, With The Birth of Kiera, little Kyron had LOST HIS PLACE IN THE FAMILY.
I hope that Tony & Desiree fight to get total custody.
McCain is the dufus who couldn't get anything right during the interview he did with CBS a few days ago. All the comments after the CBS posting of it were blasting them for such a poor interview.
It's now one hour until the press conference and no arrests, yet. Guess we'll see. I'm sure they'll bring her in for the MFH since the GJ convened on it. They're probably moving on it thinking she'll spill her guts if she was involved with Kyron's disappearance. However, I'm wondering why they waited for the GJ to decide if there was enough evidence for the MFH rather than the LE arresting her out right. The only thing I can figure is the LE really doesn't have enough to arrest her. Most times you're arrested, booked and finger printed, and bonded out, and then a couple months later it's taken to the GJ. Who knows with this messed up crazy case...
This is just a terrible thing to say, but since they are not divorced yet, and she was a long term SAHM, isn’t it entirely possible that HE is responsible for her legal expenses?????
You could be right. Besides, he was the one who filed, not her. Up at #272, Global says Terri is now asking Kaine to pay her attorney fees.

“Spicher’s attorney Chad Stavley said DeDe was gardening on the day Kyron disappeared and never left home.”
Thanks. Beat me to it.

Not much new - except reinforcement of the abduction/stashed theory from Desiree.
