One month after the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman, police reportedly said a landscaper told them the Oregon boy's stepmother tried to hire him to kill her husband, Kaine Horman.
After a month with no trace of Kyron the family still hopes for his safe return.The allegation, first reported in The Oregonian but confirmed by ABC News affiliate KATU-TV in Portland through a source close to the investigation, thickens the cloud of suspicion surrounding Terri Horman, the last person to see Kyron before he went missing on June 4
The landscaper allegedly told police that Terri Horman approached him about killing her husband six or seven months before Kyron disappeared, the sources said.

I know this will sound unbelievably stupid of me.....but maybe the dad, showing concern for his son being with this crazy wench, took him?
After seeing her *body building* photos it’s clear that she is not your average mom.
We are also learning that the Horman marriage was in trouble and even speculation that she could have *sold* Kyron.
This is such a horrible story.
Like God doesn’t see and the law won’t catch them. The deceit of diablo blinds the fools.
He doesn’t seem that bright and only learned of the *hit man* after Kyron’s disappearance. It was reported that he had problems with the step-son (now 16) and sent him to live with his bio dad.
Pray for all those children.
Gee, would have been nice if that guy had gone to the police when she first approached him.
He may not have taken her seriously and perhaps he has a police record...also may not have been the only person she solicited.
LE is very tight-lipped on their discoveries.
Even an anonymous tip might have helped.

However, if he was a *regular* landscaper for the Hormans - she may have chatted with him during the 7 months and convinced him she was *just joking* or something else to cover up her crazies.
We may never know the truth.
If he is illegal that would explain it.
I don’t really care what his reason was. I disapprove of him not reporting it and am not sure why so many people are making excuses for him.

I wonder, though, where an ex-bodybuilding stay at home mom would ever find connections to successfully sell a 6 year old boy and have him vanish without a trace?
Perhaps something that vile is available to find online????
Maybe her cell phone gave pings from that island because a boat picked Kyron up?
Surely the local LEOs would know if the stepmom suddenly has many thousands in cash, with no legal source thereof?
It would be miraculous if Kyron is still alive, would it not?
Did you see the Nancy Grace segment where it showed the stepmom went online to argue with people discussing her stepson's disappearance???
It was VERY strange, no kidding, she even told them that "The cat is fine."
Whatever would she discuss a cat when her stepson has vanished??
Then it's not wise to open up threads about unsolved crimes, because much of the online discussion about these cases is posters offering multiple reasons to explain what are occassionally extraordinary behaviors. Possible REASONS, not excuses.
The Websleuths website is a good example of this.
There are probably dozens of possible reasons why someone is afraid of approaching the police, and just because someone offers a possible interpretation of that behavior does NOT mean that the poster CONDONES it.

I imagine her computer is being torn apart for just such contacts. Sad to say - internet access and anonymity allows crazy people to find one another.

Kyron looks like such a nice young kid, and the science project he was pictured in front of appears really complex for a six year old -- and Terri Horman's story never made sense; I hope this enigma is solved quickly.
