Apple has essentially admitted they have been lying about the iPhone 's reception for years. Either they are lying now or they were lying then. Companies that cheat are not worthy of our praise. No, they have stated that there was an error in the algorithm that displayed the number of bars... not about the reception. There's a difference than lying. It still received signals just not as strongly as the graphic showed.

No, in October 2008 with iPhone OS 2.1 they jacked up the bars to show better reception than it was receiving, because of all the complaints then about how the iPhone had worse reception. That is lying. Now that they are caught, they conveniently forgot that fact... and they are "shocked" that their algorithm they implemented in 2008 was wrong... that too is lying (can a corporation forget what it previously said and did?). Apparently, only fanbois forget those kind of shenanigans.
