Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I am sitting here in shock. She got sick so fast. I called an ambulance and they got here alittle after she passed. She waited for me to come home to her. If I knew she was so sick, i would never have left her today. Knowing she suffered is killing me. When I got to the vet hospital where the ambulance brought her, I told her to go straight to Mom & Pop, that I would see her on the other side, but for now stay with my Mom. I pray she is sitting with my Mom right now, totally at peace. God, It hurts.

I’m crying reading this because I lost a wonderful little girl named Sadie in April. She was struck by a bus and had enough strength to lift her head before she died. It was only a minute that I turned my back and she got out of the yard. It still hurts today and I cry when I think of her. She was so sweet. She’s on my mantel now. Was creamated and I can put little flowers there to remember her because it is like the death of a person.

She was my sis’ dog and I always doggy sat for her. Well, my sis went out and got a rescued mini Aussie shepard that looks exactly like Sadie except she’s cocoa-colored. My sis said that she missed Sadie so bad that she needed something to love. I think that was a profound thing she said. She wasn’t afraid to get another dog, she wanted one to love. The way we loved Sadie. And we do. But Sadie will always be our special girl.

So, yes you’re in shock right now as we were. And it hurts very much. It IS the death of a loved one and that always hurts. But don’t give up on thinking one day of finding another pet to, as my sis said, have something to love.

So sorry for your loss.

I’m weeping with you.

It has been 7 years since I lost my Brittany.. I told her to find my dad.

You can’t replace a fur face that you have lost..You can only choose to love again.

2 labs and a cat in my house now.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your beloved “Friend in a Fur coat”....

This week my doggie, Lola suddenly had her arthritis act up so bad she could hardly walk for a day. she is 15 this weekend.I took the day off work and cried the whole morning. she is now much better, and is walking around, but it was a hellish couple days.

Please know that grieving is physically as well as mentally exhausting. Don’t second guess yourself, we can’t go living day to day with thinking every moment that someone close to us may die. We do what we can with love and live the best we can...and..that is more than enough.

Try to get lots of rest and may you know the Peace that Passes all Understanding!
