Yeah. Alberto can’t be doing very well when for 2 weeks we’ve been told that his TT skills are so superlative that Andy would have to be two minutes ahead going in. Or else Andy is being pushed by the angels this morning.

Yes, it’s gaining, but to me most would not have expected it to be that close, and Alberto will have to live with the question of how much the mechancial helped him....
I really liked Andy last year. It has been fun watching him mature. He has a great future ahead. Brings some interest back to the Tour with the retirement of Lance.
As we seem to be the only ones actually watching I’ll offer this comment.
A long time ago a coach offered me this advice:
If you happen to lose to your competitor do it in a manner that they fear competing against you.

I’m watching too — was hoping Andy could somehow pull it out, but as it is, I agree that Contador has got to know he’s got a real fight on his hands next year. So many “only ifs” and “what could’ve/should’ve beens” is this one. I’m sure he’s proud, but I don’t think this was a clear victory at all.
Yeah. I think also Andy gained a lot of fan support this year, strangely enough, when his brother left the competition. I think a lot of us kinda subconsciously “adopted’ him as our own little brother when that happened. His real family should be over the moon with pride.
Isn’t 37 seconds Andy’s best against AC now? Think I had seen a few 40+ seconds in a list the other day.
Yep. He probably did well enough tody to officially put that to rest, but a lot of cycling fans will nonetheless forever put a mental asterisk on his 2010 win. These 2 guys are very well matched and Andy's just a baby! A great rivalry has just begun.

The best I have found surfing through the various coverage of the Tour so it’s nice to know that as it comes to an end that the interest is still there.
