Q. How many Democrats in Congress voted to abolish slavery? 127 95 34 0 Is that right, that no Dems voted for the 13th Amendment? I thought a few (very few) voted for the 13th Amendment, but none voted for the 14th.

Peru's Machu Picchu, one of the most spectacular archaeological sites in the world, was discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, who was later elected Governor (R-CT) and Senator. FWIW - My grandfather was a friend of Hiram Bingham and was on the 1915 expedition as medical doctor and anthropologist.
