A senior Hamas figure said Friday that official and unofficial US sources have asked the Islamist group to refrain from making any statements regarding contacts with Washington, this following reports that a senior American official is due to arrive in an Arab country in the coming days to relay a telegram from the Obama Administration.
The Hamas figure told the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper that the Americans fear discussing the talks publicly would "rouse the Jewish lobby and other pressure groups in the US and cause them to pressure the administration to suspend all talks with Hamas."
The Hamas figure, who is close to Ismail Haniyeh, the prime minister of the government in Gaza, added, "This is a sensitive subject. The Americans don't want anyone to comment on it because this would catch the attention of pressure groups (in the US) and cause problems."
He said Hamas' exiled leadership in Damascus is overseeing the contacts behind closed doors.
On Wednesday a Washington-based Arabic newspaper quoted a senior official as saying that an American envoy is scheduled to meet with Hamas representatives in an Arab country and hand them a letter from the Obama Administration.
According to the report, the official said Washington has no choice but to work with Hamas due to its influence in the Arab and Islamic world.
It’s all part of the administration’s transparency.
So funny!! So what does Hamas do? They run right out to the media and blab about it!! Of course, Zero will say that we must continue to trust them . . . .

Well I find it unsettling that the United States Government has secret dealings with an anti semetic terrorist group. Not suprising given who runs the show, but indeed worrisome.
Remember all the fuss when the first VP Bush under Reagan was accused of “quid pro quo” when meeting with the Iranians?

I find it disgusting, but I’m almost maxed out with that feeling where Obama is concerned. I’m to the point where I’m trying to concentrate on other things, and just pray O is stopped sooner than later. November seems like way too long to wait, and then there are the threats of everything Reid and Pelosi will do with the lame duck congress if they lose control. The man (Obama) is insane—I really believe that—and I can’t figure out why he’s not down to the low 20s in every poll. I don’t wish him ill personally, but I do wish he’d self-destruct to the point where he needs to be locked up in rehab for his own protection/safety. I know Biden is an ass’s ass, but at this point anything is better.
Hacking WH e-mail accounts is a pretty risky thing to do. Just sayin’.

I know what you mean. When it comes to Obama I’m becoming so de-sensitized. That’s not a good place to be when you are faced with a commie takeover. Joe Biden yup I’d rather have a seemingly harmless dufus in power any day than an evil arrogant thug.
Thanks for your reply. Just commiserating at this point is such a help. Since the Kagan hearings started I have felt my nerves fraying. The lower Obama’s polls, the more frenetic his rush to ruin the country seems to get. But in the other corner, to borrow boxing terminology, are all the Christians who are praying for the USA. God hears us, and He will answer. Obama may look like he has the upper hand, but he better take stock of the situation. His ruin could come very quickly if he doesn’t start acknowledging that a force infinitely superior to him will have the last word.
