A knife-wielding, would-be thief should have thought twice about trying to steal the purse of local sword-wielding belly dancer.

I would far prefer that she had given him a few more inches of the point.
Getting his guts sewn back in would have immobilized him for an arrest.
The crook no doubt thought about the lady’s resolve to use the sword when considering his next move. I hope she would have used the weapon, because failure to act with purpose in situations like this can be very dangerous, if a victim produces a weapon without the resolve to use it.
It’s too bad the bad guy doesn’t have a big hole in his gut!
I think Ms. Moody isn't quite clear on the definition of "panic attack". But I don't think I'd care to argue with her about that (or anything else) in person :-)
..and she would be completely justified in leaving his intestines hanging out too. But less paperwork letting him run off after wetting his pants.
Actually, I’d far prefer that she’d poked right through his aorta. Then he wouldn’t be robbing anyone else *or* costing taxpayers for his medical care and prison room-and-board.
She should have split from crotch to Adam's apple.

You have to love how pathetic this boy is: he rode away on his bicycle? It’s too bad she didn’t turn around and relieve him of his hand that had the knife by just cutting it off. That would have changed his WHOLE DAY.
A bit of a push would make it usable on this defuse...dull or not.
