“hab” in the Google search bar buys you a drop-down selection for “habeas corpus”

He’ll never live out his sentence there. He’ll be killed.

Is there a dead pool on van der Sloot? If so, what's the over and under? I have a dollar or two...

Yep, he will need daddy’s money to buy a supply of Vaseline by the time they get through with him.

Supposedly his mother is having a very hard time financially. She’s a teacher, with two kids still at home to support.

Ok, ok, Peru’s got a great, fair, honest, wonderful legal system, now can they just skip to the execution.

You got me curious, so I looked it up. According to
this story, his family had spent most of their money defending him. His mom is an art teacher and is trying to scrape up money to send to his defense in Peru. Since Holloway disappeared, he moved to Holland, then to Thailand, where he bought a restaurant, ran it into the ground, then sold it. He went back to Aruba when his father died of a heart attack, and then to Peru using the money he got by promising to show where Holloway is buried. He must have used family money to bounce around the world, so even if his parents were well off, his escapades could bankrupt anyone. He also claimed he was a professional gambler, so there's no limit to how much money he could have wasted there.
Amazing how one guy can screw up so many lives.

he’s a sociopath....and the sad news is that he won’t even be sorry for what he did, nor feel shame and regret like most of us would...

If he’s lucky he’ll get Vaseline.
