This next pres election is the most critical ome in my long life. If we run into a wall, so be it. We cannot give this dangerous man another term or the republic is done. In the quest for perfection we can lose all.

I agree with you. Obama should not be reelected. But, if we replace him with a Republican that will not set the ship right - as the U.K. is now working to do - it will be of no use.

I understand for the party faithful it is all important that a Republican get elected. I simply don't have that blind faith in the GOP.

If a fiscally conservative Democrat comes along that will close the border and ends up beating Obama in the primary (I know, that sounds like a stretch) and the Republican in the race will not address the problems, I'm not automatically voting GOP.

I've automatically voted GOP for 30 years. The party has lost my trust.

I agree and don’t give them a cent anymore.

I would vote for anybody other than obama, borders or not. There is not a more dangerous man in my memory ever for this country although LBJ comes close. His immigration bill changed this country forever.

But I don’t think after thinking about it a long time that the border problem will ever be fixed. I think some kind of “let them stay” bill is coming whether they get citizenship or not. Both sides have a vested interest in illegals stayng and being comfortable doing so as guest workers or citizens.

Obama is about far more than illegals or abortion. The man is deconstructing this country and I don’t want to let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Obama needs to go and if his successor is Hilary or Rudy or McCain or Jeb or Palin, I will vote for any of them and anybody but Obama.

The insistance on conservative republicans is best gained at the state level and with senators and representatives, not with gambling on the highest office.

I have no patience for ideological purity at the level of the president at this time.

If Hillary were to successfully challenge Obama, then you can make a case for insisting on your choice or staying home.

No, I think I pretty much agree with you on your post. Actually, I found it to be very good, helpful. Thanks. You have a very good assessment of the situation.
