You may say, "it's soccer", but it really isn't at all. It's the inability of the soccer officials to reign in some deep problems in their system.

All sports world wide have made huge progressions in their reffing systems, soccer is the only one left (that I know of) that allows the refs to win or lose the game rather than the players themselves.

Sorry, it's not right, it's downright disgraceful they haven't dealt with this same issue in decades.

Believe me this has nothing to do with soccer officials,
it has all to do with the people who love this sport.
If you believe it or not most people (ok maybe outside of the US) are perfect happy with this rules.
I do not know anyone who would want to change them.
(and i know a lot of soccer fans).
So don´t fix whats not broken.
And for most of the world there is nothing “broken”
because of the simple fact that they like the sport and the rules
exactly how they are.
You may find the rules unfair or whatever.
But people here don´t think this way.
They love this game the way it is played (and this includes
the referees and other things you criticize).
