Soccer is dead here, stick a fork in it.

That was one of the most compelling sports events I have ever watched. (And I've watched a lot of them.)

On the contrary, this is the best possible outcome for US soccer, so dramatic, you can bet the ratings for their next game are going to be through the roof, it’s going to start hitting the water coolers.

Indeed, despite the best efforts of the officials.

When there are only 1 or two goals a game, a bad call on a goal directly affects the outcome of the game in a way that just doesn't happen that often in American sports.

Saying "that's just the way the game is" won't cut it for American fans.

Perhaps the rest of the world is content to settle for mediocrity; American aren't.

Every game I've watched in this tournament has been decided by an apparent bad call.
