I had lunch today at a local bagel shoppe operated by a nice, young, homeschooling family. I know the wife keeps a garden and I asked her about celery, harvest, etc.
She is an avid celery grower, and she says that she harvests it like lettuce, taking the outer stalks whenever she needs a piece of celery. I may try that for a while because it breaks my heart to cut off a whole big head of celery when I need only a small amount.
Sounds good on the harvesting. Did she have any other tips for growing it?
