Meg Whitman, the Republican candidate for governor of California, is softening her stance on immigration. A month after she cut an ad during her primary promising no drivers licenses, no sanctuary cities, and absolutely no amnesty, period, shes launched new ads to air during Mexicos World Cup match calling herself a different kind of candidate who understands our community and the Republican who opposes the Arizona law and was against Proposition 187. Latinos who are interested in Whitmans positions on immigration can learn more about them at the new section of her website not-at-all-subtly targeted at them
the Republican who opposes the Arizona law and was against Proposition 187”
That’s an amnesty queen for you right there.
JD should run with this because McCain and Whitman are two peas in a pod ...he tweets all the time he is going to spend the weekend with her at her CA Ranch....; anyone who thinks he won’t turn like a worm as soon as the primary is over August 24th is nuts.
That is exactly what the socialists want.
Leftists are socialists
not woth supporting a RINO. let the Dems take the blame for where this is going to go.
Question:"(Can't we get one Republican with integrity?)"
Response to Report: Yep!
Answer to Question: No.
Comment: They only real solution to the Mexican illegal invasion is actual forcible expulsion.
Comment as to Question: She wants to get elected and her reading of the available votes drives her to pander to Mexicans. In short, the Non-Mexican is "second fiddle!" Voting for a political candidate is becoming impossible for any person with a sense of integrity.
Ah, excuse please ... then what are you doing on Free Republic?
The screwball politicians "from" California aren't from California at all. They're from the East Coast -- Pelosi, Boxer, Feinstein, Whitman ... born there, raised there, educated there ... THEN they come to California and screw it up.
Here is Whitman's stand on immigration.
Here's Moonbeam's..
Ya'll decide who is better on the issue....
RINO ???? Hell Damn Traitor to America nothing more.
No you don't or you you would not be here on Free Republic...LOL!
You can’t get integrity from most Republicans because they have been neutered and don’t even have the concept of having “Balls”.
I think a considerable amount of the voters out there can’t get past Dems=Left, and Repubs=Right.
Have to change that perspective, and get people to understand the Left is Left no matter (D), or (R).
Once upon a time one could leave people to believe that Dems were Left, and Repubs were Right, but then IMO after the Left took over the Dems, they began the same game with the Repubs, and thus came the RINO’.
We have to get the damned Leftist RINO’s the “H” out of the Republican Party.
You advocate still what I used to advocate myself: to vote out of fear and surrender, to vote against your better judment for a candidate who will bring about all the things you don't want and which you know are BAD for freedom and America: bigger more intrusive government. But you will vote for that person, and you will urge me to vote for that person, because you "reason" that at least that candidate who is not as scary as the Democrat who stands for bigger more intrusive government.
So then if your guy wins, and when the bigger more intrusive government comes, it comes under the Republican banner -- and guys like you can't understand why voters are so cynical about the Republican party and say "There's not a dime's bit of difference between the two parties!" Guys like you can ONLY shiver and cower in fear and whimper, "But [insert the name of the Democrat opponent here] would be worse!" And you vote for someone you don't believe in because you live in fear, and you vote in fear.
I used to do the same thing. I FINALLY learned with Arnold Schwarzenegger. If I had it to do over again, I'd have voted such that Bustamonte won because at least there would have been a chance for the Republican party to become stronger and better. Schwarzenegger won and because he is virtually as liberal, anti-gun, pro-environmental socialist, big-government as any Democrat, he is squelching the future hope of the Republican party as a viable, decent alternative for people who are sick of those things. Big government liberal Republicans are the greater evil than big government liberal Democrats for the future of this nation because they sabotage the future of conservatism finding an identity in the Republican party.
As long as big governmnent liberal Republicans win, the Republican party will be dominated by big government liberal Republicans. The only way to shift the direction of the Republican party toward limited government conservatism is to vote such that liberal Republicans lose. It takes guts, guts I didn't have when I voted against my better judgment for Schwarzenegger, but I learned: No guts, no glory.
But I can guess what you're going to say. You're going to say what I used to say: "But the Democrat will be so much worse!" It is short-term thinking and it is what has led us to this point. STOP ENGAGING IN EINSTEIN'S DEFINITION OF INSANITY. Stop voting from a place of fear and start voting from a place of courage.
"Different Kind" (My Spanish is not too good.)But, she CERTAINLY says it on her website, hidden in the #2 screen of "YOUR Community" at www.megwhitman.com/latinos:
'DIFFERENT KIND'Meg Whitman is a different kind of candidate. She is a business leader ready to fix Sacramento, ready to create more jobs and better schools in California. She respects our community. She is the Republican who opposes the Arizona law and opposed Proposition 187.
She means real change. She has a specific plan for A New California. With more jobs, better schools and less bureaucracy

Ping!
understands our community I think I heard someone else say that.
