I just replaced the hummingbird feeder that a cat pulled
down while trying to get the hummingbird. If I catch him he
may end up on a leash with his feet off the ground.

I can’t wait for the requirement for liberals to be on a leash!

I’d really like to see them put a leash on this cat.

At this point, if it wants to, you’re pretty much cat chow.

No cat I have ever owned would tolerate a leash long enough for me to even put it on him. Glad you included the pic to show it is possible though.

I'd like to see somebody try to put a leash on my cat. She goes outdoors to mouse and play during the day, and we've purchased 5 or 6 collars so that she wouldn't be treated as a stray if she ever wandered off the property. The collars disappear within minutes.

She is a sweet, preciously gentle cat until you try to get her to wear something.

...free range cats are a growing nuisance in our county...and they breed like rabbits...eventually the coyotes will control them though...they’re more prevalent every year.

I take our cat outside on a leash every once in awhile. He is declawed (he was like that when he was rescued) so he is vulnerable when he is outdoors. He tries to remove the leash and rolls over and trips over it. But if I tether him to the tree, he calms down a bit and eats grass and takes in the scenery. I’d say he’s good for about 20 or 30 minutes out there, then it’s time to bring him in.

We have an unusually mellow cat. This wouldn’t work on most of them.

My python loves stray cats off the leash. If I have to walk my dog on a leash they should have to walk their kitty on a leash...AND OH YEAH, PICK UP THEIR KITTIES DROPPINGS.

Looks like a long-haired Chihuahua and a bi-color Japanese Bobtail. OR, if I saw the cat’s face, then maybe the cat could be a stumpy Manx.)

In urban or suburban environs I can see how people can be upset with the neighbors cat pooping in the flower beds etc. But it is a cats nature to roam. I read somewhere that cats are much more closer to their wild ancestors than dogs, by a long shot. Urban dwellers really have no idea about the natural order of life. Suburban soccer moms have no idea that Fluffy’s dna tells her instinctively to chase that bird. But if you don’t have top of the chain predators the varmints at the bottom will overpopulate.

It’s the CIIIIRRCCLE OF LIIIIIFE!

Good! I have 2 indoor cats. Roaming cats are a nuisance. Crapping in my garden, yowling at night, killing songbirds... Dogs aren’t allowed to do that, why should cats be given a pass?
