THat was my first thought when i read that they said it did not appear anyone was in the car. Where is the embankment in relation to Charlie's driveway, and could the car have rolled down the driveway, across the road and down the embankment.
Dumbass was probably able to make it home, but too drunk to make sure the parking break was on.

I’ve been reading in the press for years that SUVs drive around killing people. It's not the SUV's fault! It's a disease, not a personality flaw. When my SUV get's "liquored up" on ethanol, it is a mean drunk and there's no controlling it. It drives around looking for Priuses and "Smart" cars to scare and is a general hooligan. I am forced to lock it in my garage!

Poor Charlie. He probably has a ‘rogue’ aide, who filled the Mercedes (stars have ‘people’ for these kind of jobs) with (shudders) BP GAS!!!
