What's yer round up number. How long you been a freeper? (Old Time Freepers Wanted)

I've given my opus a few times but always came a crawlin' back. I figure if they go by "join date" we old timers will go first ...
So any active Freepers out there have joined dates more ancient than mine?

I lurked for a while before I signed up. Some of the threads were intimidating—in a healthy way. I wasn't sure I could run with the big boys. I am still not sure, but I have had fun along the way. Especially on the live threads.
Although I still haven't figured out what the mods have against Miss Canada. :-)

I lurked a long time too. Too nervous to post. Found the link on Drudge, probably in 1998.

I have been here since May of 1998. I used to post a lot back then when it was an uncrowded forum and the personalities were knowable. The debates got ugly at times, but they were fun and usually philosophical. NitaNuprez, OneWhoKnows, DonMorgan, Ashe, Eschoir, Mojo, Navigater, Lurker, ClintonsALiar, Deb, and many more slugging it out. It was a lot of fun and much more intellectual in nature.
Alas, the tragedy of the commons set in and changed this place. That is just the nature of things. No need to dole out blame or anything. If anything, it happened due to FR's success. But there is no question that FR had a much higher collective IQ back in the day. But then, so did the rest of the internet.

I was the 210th registered - something like that.
Used to be that number was accessible somewhere. I can’t remember seeing mine for ten years or so, and don’t remember how I ever saw it.

Ditter has been here since August 1998 but I had another name for quite a while (maybe 9 months or a year) before that. Had I known that sign up dates would be such a big deal I might have kept my first one. Who knew?
BTW Ditter is baby talk for sister, my brother named me and still calls me that.

Same here. I was living outside the U.S. and found this to be the best resource for keeping up with the 2000 election news.

Wow, some of you guys are really showing your age :)
I’m still a sprightly young FReeper, with a born-on-date of 11/18/2000.
