Same thing.
(Isnt anyone gonna argue with me?)"
--------
Probably not.
If I came on here and said "Ocean Liners, paramecium, grandfather clocks...they're all the same thing," I doubt anyone would bother to argue with me, either. They would assume I was either joking or beyond the reach of reason.

IMHO worrying about gay issues is a pointless embarrasment to both Christians and Conservatives.
So it’s fine with you if homosexual activists sue the Boy Scouts and the Catholic adoption agencies to force them to hire/adopt kids to homosexuals, push “gay is great” indcotrination in children in public schools K-12, force people to rent rooms in their houses to them, push same sex marriage everywhere, allow homosexuals to foster children, force foster parents to attend “gay sensitivity” training classes, teach middle school kids the ins and outs of sodomy practice, punish people for saying negative things about homosexuality, push for homosexuals in the military even though the heads of each branch don’t want them, and on and on and on?
That’s all fine with you, then. Okay.
If you think people being concerned about the homosexual agenda is an embarassment, then you must be okay with public schools teaching the wonders of “gay” sex.
with a cool million he could have helped many good candidates around the country...
How do you know he hasn't done that? How do you know how and where he spends his money?
Unfortunately you sound like the libs in my office who don't realize that he is in the top 10 of celebrity donors to charity.
I’d say that’s because you have a discerning mind.
You must be very young.
I really don’t care. How’s that for jack?
Well of course the solution of a free republic is to get rid of government schools and, for political practicality, give parents vouchers.
I believe in all those things I just don’t believe the government should be used to enforce them. What about those who believe dancing is a sin? Or having a drink?
“we find as three-legged conservatives that the rights of vulnerable people are denied through social vices such as porn, public sexuality, drug abuse, etc.”
Liberals say they are protecting vulnerable people too with welfare and medicare and all that. I submit that if you feel convicted about these issues that you get involved in people’s lives. The government sure isn’t protecting anybody from any of those things - and cannot in any semblance of a free country.
It is true, liberals say the same things: they are trying to protect people. So we get the welfare state.
But the opposite of “liberal” isn’t “Taliban.” That is a false assertion, and so commonly accepted today, it makes me sad.
Over to the left we have - the commies. The Nanny State. Legislating away all of our freedom, with the excuse of “protecting us.” Pushing atheism, making the state a god. Forcing us to wear seat belts while giving tax breaks to gay bathhouses. Banning high salt content while feeding all the public school kids government cheese glop. Forcing taxpayers to pay for abortions and banning parents from spanking their kids. Etc. Overbearing government interference.
Over to the right we have - the Taliban. Stoning female rape victims. Forbidding churches. Confiscating radios. Forcing people to adhere to their religion. Whipping women who show an ankle.
It’s IN THE MIDDLE that we have the conservative. We are the true “moderates” in that sense. Banning major public vices, using community standards, protecting the vulnerable but allowing for civil liberties and freedom of thought. Promoting patriotism and faith without slitting the throats of those who don’t exercise them. Etc.
I’m reading Chafets book now. I was stunned when I read that “Friar Shuck” story, having been a big Hudson and Landry fan for many years. I wonder if Chafets just got this wrong on his own or if Rush passed off the bit as his own? I find the latter very hard to believe. Maybe Rush played that bit and Chafets misunderstood that he did not actually write it or perform it.
