A $75 million movie from MGM about a Chinese communist invasion of the United States. A brazenly patriotic smack-down of Obama-era socialism. Centering around an Afghanistan war vet. Starring Tom Cruises son. Featuring music by Toby Keith. With a plot devised with help from the RAND Corporation.
A hard-core remake of Red Dawn.

Hmmmm. I just took a look out on IMDB. This looks like it might need a second look. I'll reserve judgement until the trailer hits.
I still think that it will be a PC'd up version of the original.

Why would Red China invade America in this day and age? They already own our government officials and treasury debt. All they have to do is foreclose.................../s

At least it isn’t a movie about the Gaza ‘love boat’ being ‘victimized’.

I believe this is a scene where the movie's main "Collaborator" meets his Chinese Overlord.

I watch this movie at least once a year since it came out. I grew up despising Communism/Socialism so this film has been on my favorites for years. WOLVERINES!

Your movie description mirrors a lot of the cast of Aliens.

“Modern China is hardly communist.”
Then can you explain the labor camps and political prisoners? Don’t let the modest capitalism fool you, they are Commies through and through.
