Another perspective to this story.

Then there are the women who take beatings daily and go back to the same guy.

I don’t think that these foolish groupies are typical of American women. They’re just a fringe group.

Those women are about as psycho as the killers themselves.
If I remembeer right, Jeffrey Dahmer had more than a few marriage proposals while he was still alive.

Any wonder why women vote Democrat in large numbers ? Rush did a segment on the battered liberal syndrome a couple of years ago.

"....despite what they say, women seem to be most enthralled with societys most dangerous and violent men." A violent mans wishful thinking?
It's likely this fringe group of women don't think he actually did it.
What a nutcase this author is.

Women hear what they want to hear. Evil has a charming face. A silvery-tongued psychopath can seduce an innocent woman, and it happens all the time. The Don Juan myth is woven throughout literature back through time.
Look at the liar in public office and how he has charmed so many voters. Give me a tangle-tongued but honest president any time.

No, these were from women.
Then there’s Drew Peterson. Wasn’t he supposed to get married again? Who in their right mind would want to marry a guy whose third wife’s death was a homicide and his fourth wife “disappeared?”
To: Venturer
There is a small subset of women who are attracted to the brute. They think they are so special they can tame the bad boy that no other woman could. Or they see the good in him that escaped all others because they are more insightful.

"Women".....people "hear what they want to hear". I'm sure there are male dopes who would give this guy an instant pass as well.

Didn’t these women know that they weren’t exactly Dahmer’s “type.”

Yes, people do. As a woman, I speak out of my own experience. Not with a psychopath, tho, just with charming men.

I don’t think they cared. They thought he was “cute.”
To: Christian Cage
In fact, convicted killers and rapists such as Scott Peterson and Richard Ramirez are far more likely on any given day to receive amorous attention from women than, say, some guy schlepping away day after day to provide a nest egg for a future wife and children
A couple of points:
1. Articles from a Website like this drive me crazy. They have oversimplified the problem. Yes some women will gravitate to bad men. I don't understand it and it's a topic for psychologists. But the vast majority of women would run from Van der Sloot IF they knew about him. If they didn't know his background they would react to him as an attractive guy which he is.
2. A far larger percentage of women are attracted to guys who could be considered bad boys. Although not murderers and the like, they tend to be losers and treat women badly and yet some women cling to them. Now this is a worthwhile topic for the Feminists to work on. Why are so many women (although still a minority) attracted to such bad men. They could do a lot more good for women if they could crack this problem rather than push for the Marxism that seems to be a the core of everything they support. Are you listening NOW?

I don’t know the percentages, but you might be surprised at how many women would find VanderSloot, Peterson and others attractive, despite their violent, criminal actions. These men are usually very charming; the women feel unattractive and often they are desperate to get married lest they wind up as “old maids.”
A one-time friend married a loser when she was about 30. She was panicked because 30 was the marriage cutoff in those days and she thought she would never get married. This guy was a charmer, she had always suffered from low self-esteem and so he took advantage big time. He had no ordinary means of employment; he dealt drugs, beat her up on more than one occasion and I’m reasonably sure he was bedding other women. But when this friend wouldn’t leave him, I basically washed my hands of her. I figured if she was that dumb to stick with him, the two of them deserved each other. I did hear later that he was in jail; not sure if he still is or if she’s still married to him.

"If they didn't know his background they would react to him as an attractive guy which he is. Which is exactly why it's a bad idea to sleep with someone until you find out if they are a piranha..looks are deceiving and so are personalities.
Wait even longer to permanently hook up with someone...it's called engagement.
"Saving yourself for the right one" is not so much a moral issue, imposed by some hell bent invisible authority, as it is self preservation. People have less sense of self protection these days because of moral decline.
