Is it just me, or are others struggling with yahoo emails from the same persona, over and over, over and over, again and again?
Can't something be done to stop him/her?
Its just you, just change your preferences there to get either a daily or weekly summary.
mine too over 200
what u say?
...never mind, I see what you are saying, I just opened up the weekly summary email and it is just hundreds of posts by some guy named Rich Martin, over and over and over.

Not Breaking News, Noob.
1. Log in and go to group
2. Click: “Edit Membership”
3. Switch it to: “Web Only”
No more emails. Not that hard!
Is this REALLY Breaking News????
Really?
This is Breaking News?
It's not just you.
My Yahoo account is not important to me so I'm not struggling with these e-mails, just a pain to delete them.
Set your group preferences to web only no email
Problem solved
Whoever is the owner of that Yahoo Group — should go into the group, delete those unwanted messages, and then delete the membershipship of whoever sent them.
Did you say something to piss everybody off?
I’m not having problems of that sort.
You can’t control your controls, and this is breaking news? Get over it. Change your settings. This should be in chat, not breaking news.
Yes, the solution is simple. You only get emails from Yahoo FreeRepublic if you asked for them. Just change the setting.
Personally, I only use that site when FR is down, so I can hopefully learn what the problem is.
You’re just having a bad night ... :-)
But, yeah... someone is spamming over there... I guess you could ask the admins (here) to can the spammer over there on Yahoo ... :-)
The email address (laura_r_26@yahoo.com) of the owner/moderator of the group is not valid anymore. Just made a request to become a moderator and the message bounced. So I guess it is just time to unsubscribe.
Take a deep breath.
Go to the homepage of the Yahoo group.
Click on “Edit Membership”.
Under Step 2, check off the option “Special Notices - Receive only important email notices from the group moderator”.
Scroll down and click “Save Changes”.
Everything will be okay now.
Whenever FR seems to be down, you can go to the Yahoo group website and read messages there.
FWIW, on my Mac mail, I just set the rules to send the FR Yahoo emails straight to the trash. I can still go into the trash and read them if FR is down and I want to figure out what’s going on, but they’re not clogging up my in box.
I haven’t received any, but I’m not logged in.
