There is no unbiased source about anything. You have to check out the spin and facts of everyone, do your own research. I regard snopes as *accurate*. I can ignore bias; I want to see *facts*.

That’s why it’s possible to read the news from a variety of sources, acknowledge their biases, collect the facts, and make up your own conclusions. It’s like doing scientific research.

Snopes has the benefit of being itself checked out by hundreds of thousands, if not millions of people. Any inaccuracy is pulled apart pretty quickly. The rumor that snopes.com is a “secret tool of the Democrat party” has been itself examined and debunked in a number of places. How do I know? I did what you suggest and googled snopes founders.

I hope that you don’t ignore factually accurate material because you don’t like the cut of the political jib of the messenger. You miss a lot of great information that way.
