I read that. Zhukov and Konev slaughtering their men to get to Berlin first.
I love my Remington 30.06.
I can blow away moving armadillos at 300 yards at dusk.
While coasting to a stop on the 4-wheeler.
True story.
Thanks, will do.
Why would anyone do that? Damage to the crown of the muzzle? Cracks? Sounds like a "fix" not a "feature".
typo from typing while working...
After test-firing and sighting-in, please report with both rifles to Nogales, Arizona.
Says it has a 2 in counterbore http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?40758-Austro-Finn-Sestroretsk-M91
Hungarian, one of my favorite flavors for my MN's. But,it will smell funny after shooting. Don't know what's different with East European military powders that causes the distintive odor.
You might be surprised at the recoil the light carbines in this caliber!
You might also note that the point of impact changes quite a bit with the bayonet extended or folded. Most have been factory sighted to shoot POA with bayonet extended.
Have fun! I enjoy shooting mine.
Thanks, I plan to.

I like a rifle that "talks back" a bit. Let's me know I'm doing something.
These two Mexicans are going to get, like 45 days for getting caught with a truckload like this!

Probably counter bored. If it is accurate don’t worry about it. Also, you can always slug the bore and see if it is the correct bore diameter and also mic the ammo.
Then you NEED a Yugo M48. It has a superior bolt and the skull crusher on the butt will talk to you LoL
Its accurate. I just had no idea it was counter bored.
Looks like the right ammo to me.
You may encounter a hang fire from time to time with very old ammo. If this happens, keep the barrel pointed away...
Lord.
I'd probably get life just for the stuff laying around the kitchen.
I suggest buying some ammo you know is correct and comparing the case dimensions with what you already have. Its easy to suggest the tire/string method IF ITS NOT YOUR GUN.
I've done that with my guns.
I have an M38. Lotsa fun!
It does have the SA on the receiver.
Does that make it a Finn capture from the winter war?
I threw out the stuff that came with mine and bought some at a gun range that were stamped (plus I wasn’t comfortable with shooting ammo that had probably been sitting in a warehouse in Russia for fifty years.
They are a lot of fun to shoot. The first few rounds will make you wince a little, but after about twenty your shoulder will be so numb you won’t feel a thing.
