Yeah a fatman Philles fans won’t forget. At least we too ended up with Davey Lopes at first.

As much as I would like that, it would set a horrible precedent.

Agreed.

How sad it is though to take it away from the fan base, the organization, and most importantly, the player. But something like a perfect game is an event meant for a moment in time...and that time ended with the call.

After 50+ years of watching baseball, I thought I'd seen everything. A tip of the cap to Gallaraga, not only for his performance, but the class he showed before, during and after.

With all that kindness and understanding....tomorrow I start putting the "laces out" posters all over my house for Joyce.(heh heh)

I remember Davey Lopes stealing bases for the Cubs when he was about 74. At least you’ve won the World Series twice since the Bruce Froemming call. Dallas Green tried to get the Cubs to the World Series with a number of ex-Phillies in ‘84, but Leon Durham forgot how to field a routine grounder. That dang near ruined my childhood.

“No one on the field or in the stands had any idea what this guy was looking at.”

It’s hard to believe with two out in the ninth and a perfect game in the balance that he lost his focus.

The "Phold" of '64 dang near ruined mine. Never thought I'd see another Phillies champ. This year the Phils look like they're folding early.

At least you got rid of Buckner before he...
