SANFORD, Fla. -- A 7-year-old Sanford boy was hit by a taser prong while police tried to arrest his uncle Tuesday, according to Sanford police.
A street crimes officer was chasing Reginald Hadley, who was wanted on several warrants. Hadley ran up to his sister, Antonette Jones’ house where she was sitting with her baby and 7-year-old son, Trenton.
Police said the officer shot the taser at Hadley, but one prong hit Trenton in the chest.
"He was terrified! Started screaming, ‘Ah ah ah ah!’ I thought he was getting shocked," Jones said. "Ya'll tased my baby, what the hell?"
Sanford police said since only one prong hit the child he didn't get a shock from the taser.
The boy was taken by ambulance to the hospital to be checked out.
The officer, who is a four-year veteran of the force, will remain on regular duty during an internal investigation.
His name was not released.

Scum bag uncle was using the boy, the baby, and their mama as a shield and it probably wasn’t the first time with this career criminal.

Absolutely and I’d bet the cop did not intend to hit the boy. My comment was directed at the poster who was blaming the boy for what happened.
Sorry the kid got hit but better a mis-placed taser prong than a stray 9mm round. It could have been worse.
Make no mistake, Hadley put his nephew in the crosshairs. The fact that the kid got shot with a dart was a bad accident. But there was no shock and all the darts do is break the skin and bleed a little bit.
But, of course you failed to answer my question about the real victims here. No surprise.

My point was that Hadley's victims probably don't care about Hadley or his family.

The “REAL” victims are those people the thug uncle took advantage of in collecting his “several warrants.” Then of course, those warrants MIGHT all be phonies. You know...something the EEEEVIL cops dreamed up just so they could tase a seven year old kid!! Ya gotta watch out for those cops, don’t ya know. Pretty shifty types. By the way driftdriver, what sort of medications ARE you taking to create that universe you live in. Anything you got from our Present-in Chief?
Or you can read a story. None of which explains why people are blaming the child for what occurred.
