"He had a straw hat on, and I had one on, and he said, 'Nice hat, man,"' the drinking partner, Russell Wimberly, told the newspaper. "We got to talking, and he started buying me drinks."
ok..........
I’m sorry for Mr. Koppel and his family.
On the “down low”?
It certainly sounds that way.
How sad to lose one’s child. My condolences to the Koppel family.
Mega alcohol on an empty stomach = big trouble
I cannot imagine the pain the Koppel family is experiencing. prayer heavenward...
I know Ted has a daughter Andrea, didn’t know he had a son.
I cannot imagine the heartbreak of losing one’s child. Prayers to the Koppel family.
May he rest in peace. Sympathies to his family.

Must have been in the closet!!
A news story I read said the son lived with his girlfriend and their child. A closet bi perhaps.
Another death by pooferism?

It's unfair to conclude he was gay or bi just because he struck up a friendship with a guy at a bar. A drunk drinking by himself at a bar will often strike up a conversation with whomever is sitting closest to him. After an hour or two of conversation and a bunch more drinks they will think they are lifelong friends. Happens all the time.
I think this post is out of bounds.
Exactly. A guy can’t belly up to the bar anymore?
